Yesterday, May 2, 2011, Canonical has announced the availability for testing of the Ubuntu operating system future. Ubuntu 11:10 (Oneiric Ocelot) Alpha 1 comes to introducing new features that will be taken by Oneiric.
What's new with Ubuntu 11:10 Alpha 1?

The first alpha of Kubuntu 11:10 now developed on top of KDE 4.6.3 SC. Muon Software Center is now used by default for package management. KDE PIM 4.4.11 are also included in this release.
